The Libra

The car that was too good to exist back then

It all began with an idea to make a game.

Back in university while I was getting my computer science diploma, me and my friend thought of a game. 8CG. Basically 80’s car game. But as we were broke students and we couldn’t afford licenses for real cars we had to create a car that would capture 80’s perfectly well

After multiple attempts and tries to capture the essence I managed to finalize the design and called it - Stallion. We figured It would fit game nicely

The First solid design

The Itch…

After the Stallion, that model sat in storage for awhile. There were always these thoughts to make that car better. The design more refined and effectively better model. Thus, on one late evening I went for it..

Legend WAS born

After that night - Libra was born.

Body lines reworked. Mesh cleared up and body lines streamed down. And also what 80’s car without huge spoiler on back?

Now more than after 4 years (as of 2025 writing) this is one of the most popular models

After introducing Libra I still had ideas on what can I do with Libra..

Days and Nights of tinkering

After awhile of tinkering with proportions and design elements it started to feel like obsession. 80s music blasting one day after another. Listening to Self Control and looking videos of Miami Vice it started to feel like insanity

Never ever I felt so invested in bringing this model into such state and what it seems.. there was no end to it

This was one of my greatest creations back then. This car alone brought my models to new standards. What should’ve been a just wide bodykit turned out to be a whole re-mesh of the model
